More test runs/learning
Hi guys
I have been practicing with some home made dies in a Pullmax. My issue is straight lines, I'm finding it difficult to make an almost straight line as there is a slight bow in it. I tend to go off line a little and there is a couple of unwanted tweaks. Any tips on how to stay on the line? Basically I drew a straightish line on the sheet metal with a slight bow as on the car, marked a dot on the die and as I fed the sheet I found it difficult to stay on the line. Here's some pictures to show what I mean. This is another practice short run which is ok.

It looks like your using galvanized sheet it will not form the same as cold rolled sheet it has different property as far as shaping and will do funny things I think if you can get different material it might be big part of your battle hope this helps

I think you have to stretch the material several times and gradually add.

Thanks guys
Do you think I should use a more shallow die to start it off? Then progress to the final deeper die?
