OJ, I'm not familiar with the Contra term, but you should be able to shrink the other side to reverse the effects. As the frame has been modified, its not like some more shrinking (which may end up affecting the length) will be the end of the world. Here's a sample of the shrinking I did on the 55 wagon roof repair thread:







Where the flange needed to shrink. In your case, you would go the other direction, the wide part of the VEE would be aimed towards the outside of the frame, and you'd also heat up a wide band along the vertical section to match the wide part of the VEE. Here's a link to read up on....may be what the Contra term refers to... This article is what prompted me to use heat in modifying the shape in the above picture.. I think figure 6 in the link is what you're looking for..
