Default Raymond, MS intro

My name is Cory and I live in Raymond, MS. I am a mechanical engineer, but not your typical engineer type, I like to build things and get my hands dirty. I wanted to join this forum to learn from others about metal shaping and I'm especially interested in any custom homemade metalworking tools. I love tools and building them myself. My grandfather was a tinsmith by trade and primarily built duct work. I have all his old trade school books, layout tools and some custom tools that he built to do odd jobs. I'm looking forward to learning a lot!

Hi Cory,

Welcome to the group.

I envy your inheritance of books and tools from your Grandfather. I was a duct maker myself for a while and began collecting what I could find of books and old tools. I just loved the craft of it all. Cheers!
