1988 Chrysler Conquest Rim repair
This is the rim on my 1988 Chrysler Conquest.
Thanks to Zollis for the resizing of the picture! I paid a lot of money to have the rims refinished but the original dent still exists. How would you guys have remove this prior to machining? Is there a way to roll out the aluminum? Overall pictures http://www.starquestclub.com/forum/i...c=153585&st=60

Normally the website resizes. That is the picture that I have.

Most forum software does not resize automatically. This photo is nearly 1mb and will consume a ton of bandwidth of folks on limited connections. Google resizing software and do everyone a favor. I prefer Faststone photo resizer. It's free and does one or many at once.

I'm not an expert but being the aluminum is heat treated, it's not going to come out without heating and re treat the wheel. If you try to get it out without taking the temper out it will crack.

Updated the picture. Thanks Zollis!. Not sure how to retreat when working out the bend.

A bend that small could be worked without heat treatment, big deformations are repaired using hydraulic push pull jigs. Small kerb damage can be hand hammered weld if required then turned. That looks like half a job to me
