Redneck Roundup #4
Got started early with Jim Hery building the gas tank(s) and we did some work to nearly complete the radiator buck for the Bugatti, updated the grill shell buck and loaded another of Peter's wheeling machines.

Rain at the end of the day made the ground just right to plant those donut seeds. We will do it today if the weather holds out!

Friday was a busy day and there were lots of door prizes.
Mike Yurko displaying his new Joe and Peggy Andrews Hoosier Profiles custom made Redneck Roundup hammer. Joe did a GREAT job with the customized lettering. A tribute to the great machinist that he is. I have (8) sets of Hoosier profile anvils and wheels. RR4Fri 001.jpg Cary Culpepper and Robert Robinson running the 'P' die set. (Forming a 'wire' edge without the wire). RR4Fri 007.jpg Cary Culpepper displaying the stretching and shrinking done to the 'wireless' 'P' dies. RR4Fri 010.jpg Jake Ladd (AKA Memphis Rain) trying his hand at the hammer and post dolly that is part of Pat (Patman) Brubakers clever mobile metal shaping tool assortment. RR4Fri 014.jpg Mike 'Motag' discussing the use of Teddy Hefner's new TinMan Tec Mecco aluminum welding torch. RR4Fri 022.jpg Bob Kolenda watches as Steve Greenway attaches the finely crafted steering wheel that he upgraded for the speedster. RR4Fri 024.jpg David 'Gando' Gandy, Jim Hery, Cary Culpepper, Jeff Newton and Steve Hamilton. I sure wish I was at the RNRU this year with all that Bugatti work going on! Even though I missed the Roundup I had a great time at the Wine Country Meet in California. In fact, there were several metal events going on this week I wish I had also been at. The Kyle Yocum/Mike Wagner class in Ohio. The Baileigh/Lakeshore College event, the Redneck Roundup....
The good news is that all this good stuff going on shows that the state of health for metal shaping and coachbuilding is very very good!
