Hello! Anyone from Romania?
Hey there!
So.. 29 years old, my name is Razvan, I work (more like learning) in a auto shop in Bucharest, this is where I had to choose between painting cars or learning how to shape metal with hammers and dollies. I'm slightly dissapointed that in my country, metal shaping in the auto field is not quite a popular phenomenon, what I'd like to do is start my own business as soon as I gather some experience, and I think metal shaping/restorations is the way to go. Good luck with all your projects, and a shout out to all the romanians (if any) watching this forum!!

Wow Razvan! Where did you learn such good English?
Some very talented people giving their wisdom here. Sadly I'm not one of them - still in leaning mode myself. If you learn for this forum as well as you have learned English, then I suspect you will have your own very successful restoration shop in just a few months!

@Richard: thanks. well, I have learned it in school as a second language, and there are many people here that know english quite well, so when traveling to Romania, remember that you will never get lost

Haven't posted in a while. What I've been doing lately is searching for a job. Now that my search is over, I'll let you know that I'm going to be employed as a rookie TIG welder
Never really had anyhing to do with welding before, but this is where I'm at from level 0 to 5 days experience. Thing is, now, I'm kind of comfortable with my welding at higher amperage, I know how to work the welder and stuff, only thing is it's the only thing I know about this. So no theory, just practiced a lot lately 10407932_884226434961245_6661438512962322931_n.jpg

Razvan, a late welcome to you. In answer to your comment above, you can do an advanced search for member location under "community" There are several members from Romania. I tried to post the results, but it only would link to this page. To see the others open the Search Members, then advanced search, then location http://allmetalshaping.com/memberlist.php?do=getall

That looks like a fine weld to me. I'm not a professional but what I see is the weld is; well filled, even stacking, uniform HAZ (Heat Effected Zone), as much as I know about welding. That looks like a fine weld to me.
Razvan, good to have you on the forum.
