Marcus,

Your bowl turned out very well; much better than my attempts at the weekend. Where do you get lanolin from please? I can only get it in aerosol cans.

Thanks mate. I bought I think 5 litre container of it from BCF of all places! Came with a spray bottle too.

Stuff lasts for a long time if you always use the same rag to wipe off the excess. I use an old hand towel and often just use the towel to wipe over things without needing more oil.
