Jazz. Spinal Fusion...been there...done that (L4-L5-S1)

I wasn't permitted back into the workshop for nearly 6 months and even then I wasn't able to do much. Take it slow, if possible!

If it helps, I'd suggest making sure your workbenches etc are at a suitable height before you return to work. I raised mine by about 6 inches to help me out. Made a big difference.

There are some more spine photos on the photobucket account below but some are a little gruesome.

Best of luck!

Some of my metalwork.........

Invention is a combination of brains and materials.
The more brains you use, the less materials you need.

Yesterday was a bit of long overdue shop upgrade. I replaced the ancient T12 lights with T5's The amount of light in garage now is amazing. No more dragging a trouble light around the shop.

Every piece of the car has now been sandblasted and epoxy primer applied. This was 2 weeks ago rinsing dust off..like the wet look

Fabricating foot scrapers will be on my list when I get back to it..I have one to use as a pattern.

This is the only foot scraper that came with the car.. I had to walk around car for a bit trying to figure out what it was...thought it was part of the door frame originally.

Im thinking they are a common screw for this kind of work,,,likely a bit pricey..I got half a dozen installed and then the surgeon (yep the burly bearded fellow is surgeon with me) caged the vertebrae and it only took him and his team 5 hours. The obvious gap at lower vertebrae is gone and I'm half inch taller!.I could tell the first day on my feet that pain was gone..day 2 they took away my walker,,day 5 now and should be out of here in 2 days..
