Hello, I am joining this to learn skills that I will desperately need in restoring a 1960 Chrysler Imperial. Since there are virtually NO aftermarket patch panels made for this car, and it has NO trunk due to rust....I find myself having to learn how to fabricate this and many other pieces. So, I come to the experts to learn!

Welcome to AllMetalShaping Fernando. First off, are you a member of the Imperial Mailing List? http://www.imperialclub.com Tons of great info there.

I got into metal shaping because I had to learn to make patch panels for my old Imperials (three 61's and some others...all for sale) I used to be very active on the IML and wrote a bunch of tech articles in the body section and restoration sagas. I'm very familiar with the problems you describe. Lower rear quarters shot too?

Welcome aboard Allmetalshaping. Lots of info here. I'm not that far from you over on the NW side of S.A. You can get 4' x 8', 18 ga. CRS sheet metal locally and you can start by making patterns of the trunk. Be sure to drop the gas tank before doing any welding back there.
