Newbie
Hello all. It's a pleasure to work among you and learn from all of your insights. Until now, I've only read your well mannered posts. But recently I've jumped into the pond of metal shaping and am honored to become part of your community, albeit not much of a contributor at this stage.
If my 1960 Bugeye Sprite had a name (such as Herbie), I'd blame him for pushing me into metal shaping. Then I met Wray Schelin who further exposed me to the bug over the course of two weeks. The bug bit me. Now I'm trying to beat panels and make clean flanges. And everyday that I try, I'm reminded about how bad I am at it still. Tools acquired to date include: Hammers, Dollys, sandbag, self-made "stump," planisher, and just yesterday a Pullmax P3 fell in my lap (and boy is it heavy, haha). So...now it's time to learn how to use it all. Thank you again for all your help! Paul |
