Fabrication of 7 complete hoods for T57 Bugatti and designing a louvre press
I need to fabricate a complete hood for an original T57 I am restoring and also need to build 6 more for the recreations I am building. Will Cronkrite offered to help design and make some drawings for a custom louver press. Each side panel will have 80, 3" louvers in three rows with spaces for hood hardware. They will be 1/4" apart and the rows will be spaced at 3/4. That means there will be 1120 louvers. The original car I am working on was purchased in AU and the photos send to us showed the hood as described above however when the car was delivered by the broker it had a completely different hood which was off and earlier car, so I am building a hood from the photo taken in AU. The side hood panel is 54" long and running three rows with the close spacing means that if they are not accurate the it will look terrible therefore an accurate fencing and registering system would be necessary.
