And the worst part is the stink stays around a long time. Since I got my mill, I don't sand and grind as often as I used to and I'm liking that. Still use a file a lot though.

Was going to post this suggestion the other day but got sidetracked, which is easy for me to do. If the phenolic doesn't work out, I have used mahogony wood in the past for hammerforms and cnc work. I had pieces left over from my deck, some 2" thick. Good quality wood is so hard you can not drive a nail into it---had to predrill all the holes in the deck. A relatively inexpensive alternative to try and should be available. Good luck with your project.

Be careful when machining G10. The dust is nasty stuff, and not terribly good for the lungs. Not as bad a carbon fiber, but somewhat hazardous nonetheless.

You don't want the dust to get into your mill ways either. Use a shop vac right at the cutter.
