Forgot to lock the gate and a "Yankee' showed up at the door.
I got a pleasant surprise yesterday. Doug Ganschow from my home state of Michigan stopped by for a shop visit. We have chatted over the years at Oblong, but never sat down for any length of time. We had a blast. We worked on the Model A fender buck, tested out Peter Tommasini's wheeling machine and gave Ben Von Berlo's Mechammer a good workout. One photo shows Doug raising a pieces of #19 gauge up 5/8" in about a minute. That Mechammer is a very strong machine for it's size, as this machine only had the medium sized 'piston' in it. We only worked a short period of time actually working. I spent a great deal of time getting up off the floor from laughing. The best cure we could think of for fixing that was a trip to the newest barbecue establishment in Rock Hill, where we continued a laughing about our involvements in drag racing.
