Hi Paul
I live in Banbury, so have asked if I can have a look at it. I'll let you know if genuine. much as though I'd love one of these, it is too big for my small shop.

Looking at his history, he looks kosher to me.
A very similar machine sold for £3300 recently, good luck with bidding

I wasn't doubting the authenticity (for a change! ) i just thought it was nice to see a wheeling machine with a date and potentially some provenance. Be nice if someone from here gets it/ is able to give a real appraisal of it.

I went to view the wheel this morning. It looks to be in pretty good condition and the chap is a proper petrolhead. He is sadly having to sell stuff off due to illness.
So all genuine and sold by someone that has used it to produce some fine work.

Same as my wheel. Excellent piece of equipment. It will certainly outlive me.

Good to know that they aren't all scams then.

Looking at the machine; does it really live outdoors? Such a shame if it does. The upper wheel and anvils look like they need some serious love.

Sold for £3,500! Quite a steep price considering it needs a lot of tlc. Still, it's a nice, early Edwards and they don't grow on trees

Yes it really was outside. It was bolted to a concrete base. I guess he kept it well covered as it was clean and ran smoothly. I agree the wheel and anvils needed some cleanup work though. He hadn't used it for many years.
I pity the guy that has to pick it up, as it would need carrying up a steep earth bank and through a garage to get to the front of the property.
Life's a bitch!
