the china mulit units are pain to switch from tig to plasma or whatever...
and if you have problems with them, you have no local welding store to take it to , you would have to ship it back to them and wait for it to be repaired and hope it dont get damaged in the mail...

i would rather just buy a used well known brand then buy one of the china brands.... and this is talking from experience.....

Please look for a good used Brand name unit.

You will not regret it.

I have longevity plasma cutter,i'm quite happy with it.nowere did i read it was made in china-but then i wasnt looking for it.all i know it has great oveload protection and the unit itself is lightweight and easy to operate.i did buy it because it was cheap, besides who says miller doesent have made in china parts inside? im not trying to start a debate,i simply cant justify a 2,000 dollar plasma cutter.if i had the money i would have bought the best i could find, but for home use its good for me.as far as used,if you dont know the previous owner personally and if the seller offers no kind of warranty i wouldnt buy it.a trade-in on the other hand at a welding product dealer might be something to look at.
