aluminum bomber seat.
perhaps I have been looking at cass's book for too long but I really got the urge to make a seat recently. I wanted it to be challenging and fun. So i chose aluminum. This is my first attempt at shaping aluminum.
I did it all in one sitting and I lap jointed the sides to save time. took 4 hours including making and installing. there were not seats large enough for me in the used pile at the kart store and my customer that lent me to kart to go to the autocross tomorrow wanted me to take something to show off. sorry for not taking good pics but I will post a few more in the daylight! It was really fun to shape something for myself for once. you can see the butt dimples and all that I added to the floor of the seat and the lightening I left the last inch not welded because I want to wire edge the seat to make it look more finished!

Good looking seat. Another thing to add to my list of stuff to make.
