Dave, and Brent, The little grills are infact the "horn covers". If you study the shape it is a miniture of the main grill, a pretty cool continuity feature. Mine are the same way on my 36's, although now, I use them to hide my signal lights inside. You only see that there is something in them when the signal light is on. Dave, you may want to check out my album on my 36 build as you will be doing alot of the same sheet metal work on yours. Looks great, keep it up, Bob

Dave, I made a set of dies to press them out. I have 2 coupes so I pressed out several sets. They also work on 2dr. sedans, and probably would fill in your area too.

Bob

Those are really nice pieces Bob, but on mine I did away with the bead detail on the edges of the panels.

The next area I began working on was the trunk. I cut the trunk section out and removed about 5 inches off of it which layed the trunk lid forward for a more streamlined look.

Then I began to build new rear quarters using mostly the english wheel.

After completing both quarters I fabricated the lower trunk filler panel with my bead roller and tipping dies. I'm trying to use the originl trunk lid, but I may have to modify or possibly make a new one later.

Thanks guys. The next thing I tackled was the rear valance. I ran tbe metal through the roller first to get the curve then bent the fold in the bead roller with the tipping dies because the valance has a slight curve. I'm not sure if this is going to be the final piece or not. I may try something different!
