Anyways I've reached my goal. I had hoped to get the car welded back together before Easter. Managed to get the new tail pan I fabricated welded in this morning so now I can relax. Thought it best to make a new one rather than to have to do a big long weld across the length of the old tail pan. I stretched the new tail pan wafer thin in the corners making the bootlid recess so I'll make a couple of corners up at some stage and weld them in. Still need to complete the doors, bonnet sides and all the hammering up for the sectioning to be completed but I'm happy to leave it at that for a while.
