Thanks for the pictures Steve, looks like quality engineering. And just gotta say,ya'lls shop looks,to me at least,to be just the right amt. of "clean".We work pretty hard here keeping things neat,it saves time in the long run.......But you've inspired me to clean up a cpl key areas.Don't have to pass a white glove test, but can't stand tripping over "junk".

It may be out of the scope of a forum but, would love to hear some of the reasons(engineering) ya'll put into the bracing/triangulation.It really looks "complete".

Thank you, I do try and keep the shop reasonably clean for two reasons. Customers like a neat place to take their cars; and it frustrates me to no end to work all tangled up in stuff. Believe it or not I am a bit of a minimalist.

As far as the bracing, this car was originally an X-frame car and it's a hard top. My experience with hard top cars and frame swapping tells me I can't put enough bracing in them. The bracing in the frame was to kill off the sag. That frame would drop in the middle nearly 3/4" with just the weight of the body. Most of the flex was at the cowl.

Here is my working drawings for this car. The left side is pretty much how I received it. I added structure to the cowl joint like the right side, made a new arch at the rear bulkhead to have the exhaust and drive line go under instead of over and then added the bridgework down the spine to further stiffen the structure.

Heck of a job Steve! Makes my '66 F100 look like a walk in the park,..... which park I can't be sure.
