Per; do you have any pictures of the way you attached the filler panel & side rails to the roof structure? Also how did you plan on sealing the insert to the roof to keep out the rain & snow? Thanks - great post.

Steve, sorry but I have delited all photos of this job, just the ones here in the thread.

Anyway, I welded nut inserts to the frame every 15" and drilled holes to match it in the roof chanel. The hardware is oldstyle screws for who I did matching dimples.

The fillerpanel is just tacked every 2" with silicone bronze rod, the sandwich joint is also glued, like all panels in normal cars.
Be sure to keep the heat down for two reasons, dont damage the panel and dont burn up the glue!!

The roof will be covered with vinyl for a stock look and when the car is painted and the roof is in place for the final time it will be sealed off with a WURTH product, a combo of glue and seal.

I have done this for several projects and it looks and works very very good

This product looks like new even 12 years later at my own car who still catch the prizes at shows
