Hereīs picture of on front of my garage/shop, well itīs insulated,so rust aint problem, but havenīt invested on heater yet,but itīs next on the list.I use same thing as david, many layers of clothing and gloves, but i am there only 1-3h,when its winter and if it is -5 celsius or more..ill probably stay home.., gotta get that heater.

But if i would make new garage/shop from ground up, i would make or consider, radiant underfloor heating, itīs expensive to do, but on the long run, it pays itself back. But you wont be anchoring machines to the floor, drill in to a pipe and...well you all know/can imagine what happens then

Or : Many in finland invest on air source heat pump, i have only heard good about them, but some say, the pump last only about 5 years, or when they get old they start to make loud noise..and in here pumps have big differences on price and performance, but i donīt have any experience on them.

We have had a few nights recently that put some frost on the cars.

The heater in my hangar crapped out last week and I'm waiting on parts for it now, which should be in tomorrow. It needs a new fan motor and at least a fuse to the (high voltage) thermostat. I also picked up some 0.025" copper sheet in a hobby show to replace a fusible link that melted. It will be interesting to see whether my shear will handle that thin, soft material cleanly. If not, maybe I'll try a paper cutter.

If it drops below 50 in there, I find it becomes uncomfortable for me.

I heard on the radio tonight that they are expecting 3 to 6 feet of snow down around Aspen, Crested Butte area within the next few days. It's still dry here in northern Colorado. Saturday was in the 60s.

Default New year, new decade

I guess this site has no chat section so I'll say it here. I want to wish you all the best new year. so, "Work safe, do good work and keep in touch."

By the way, we finally got some weather here. It's 7 degrees F. here and the wind is blowing up drifts.

A couple of days ago it was 20 and the ice that formed on the top of my trash can out by my shop didn't melt at all for a couple of days. The ice didn't even get wet. It finally started melting yesterday and it was 82.9 degrees today. I finally got my log splitter fabbed and running today. I certainly won't be lighting a fire tonight.

Well I figure the frozen rain dusted with snow ought to test the party hearties tonight, but a cool shop in long sleeves when you are working and welding and forging and stuff.

Hey, I can't complain.
