I saw these cars earlier this week at Jim's shop. It is amazing to me to see the bare metal inside of these fenders and see the welds and how many pieces there were made with,

Jim is going to do an amazing job with the roadster and can't wait to see how it develops.

Jim is doing some impressive upgrades in his shop. His new Eckold has the most amazing tooling I've seen. EVERYTHING for working aluminum especially!

Looking forward to the roundup!

Dave: Ash is the preferred wood for the majority of the framing.

Cliff: On the Coupe body I would chop the top 3", channel the body 4" and extend the length by about 8"but I don't have the freedom on this car to do that.

Steve: I have worked for this man for 38 years and have only gotten one almost complete car. These two cars are missing several parts but I have been working on RR and Bentleys for 46 years now and can figure out what I need rather quickly and how to make it. Like the owner tells me, don't worry about it Jim can make it. You certainly need to have an imagination and creativity to do these kind of cars.

Kent: I am a slow learner. I should have made the move you made and worked on antique race cars, but I like a challenge and you are correct that time goes by real quick when working on a complex car restoration.

Thanks for all the other comments.

Jim. Isn't this man from our landscapes? Only one complete car in 38 years?
Yes, they will use the cheapest workers first, they will mess up everything that is possible, and then someone has to fix it. Or they get you do that part that is difficult to make. They usually have little money in your pocket for you. The usual scenario.

But your work is with great courage. My big appreciation.
