Dies need to be designed around the Sheet Metal Thickness Generally.
This is Especially true of Tilting Shaft Machines. If Your Machines Moves Wheels Only in the Verticle Direction without Tilting then Depending on the Die almost Any would do. Quote:

Thanks for the Pics and Info bob.
I Machined the Stop off of the end of one Die and Played with it a Bit on a junk piece of Material. They Work very well but I need to power my HF Bead Roller. I Suck at electrical so it Looks like I gotta Spend some Time reading here. Someone should Offer a Kit to Power the HF Unit since almost everyone has one.

It's basically to tip an edge using a round bend instead of a tight 90* fold. Still makes a 90*, but it's a rounded corner.

I have the set that came with my Baileigh machine. I haven't figured out how to do anything but destroy metal with them. I think I need some more practice...
BTW Shawn, I'm in milpitas, you're real close to me. You can come use my bead roller any time! |

This particular set of dies is meant to do 45 degrees of an arc. So 2 45s welded edge to edge make up a 90 degree bend.
