New from california
Hi all. New guy from the cali central coast right between santa cruz and monterey.
Former silicon valley engineer. Now I'm going back to my roots with hands on metal working where I started my working life. I buy and sell stuff to make a living, and I end up fixing a lot of things. Have a basic shop set up in my tiny space -- lathe, mill, TIG/stick welder and all the junk that goes along with them. At the moment, I find myself with a ton of nice metal materials that I'm sorting through deciding what to keep and what to get rid of. Today I came across a box of stainless pieces, and thought, "what am I going to do with these?". There's not just a few, but hundreds. Then I thought I need to get on a metalworking forum to see if anyone has some creative ideas. Saw this site recommended on garagejournal, and now I'm here. So once my approval is done, I'll post another thread with the pieces that brought me here. Rob

Welcome Rob,
If you are on Instagram, check out dirtcustoms. Andrey Kazancev is someplace in eastern Europe. He makes animal sculptures based on many pieces of triangular flat material welded together. Sort of like papercraft in metal. Clever guy.
