New Canadian metal shaper!
Hey im Curtis Minke im from Chesley ON, Canada. Ive always had a mad passion for creating custom vehicles on paper and then which led to young fiberglass shaping to, chassis fab and development where I later opened a small part time Rod shop, then finally for the last 4 years i have been developing a real love for coach work. In these past 4 years i have read many books as well as watched videos to hone in some basic skills and tools. Along the way i would practice and practice many different styles and ways of shaping to create the shape/shapes i was after. Im not by any means a pro shaper but i would consider myself to be an advanced beginner. I have learned alot about metal shaping by developing the hand tool skills first.I like that i have had the ability to weld/machine/fabricate since a young age so i have also developed alot of my own tooling and hammers as well. As of the last 2 years the shop has been getting power or mechanical shaping tools added which includes the latest being my Trumpf CN901 nibbler. I have all the original attachments that were available from trumpf. And have also made adapters for other tooling too.
So thats where im at. I usually just use FB, youtube and instagram but i like the library style structure to forums and figured i would like to ask more specific questions that i can now search on here. Anyways thanks for the add!

Welcome Curt from another Canadian, self proclaimed advanced beginner, due east of you just south of Barrie. You'll be amazed at what you will be able to learn from the members on this site.
