Default Cross peen nylon hammer

I have been watching Kerry's Metal shaping 101 DVD. Does anyone know where I can get one of those Cross peen nylon hammers from. Preferably in the U.K..

Joe Andrews at Hoosier Profiles is the only source I'm aware of. Carey Culpepper at TuckPuck might be making them???

Thanks Kerry. Had been hoping to find something in the UK, but nothing was coming up on any searches, so I wasn't holding out much hope.

I just saw this, so I hope you don't mind if I post an image of some ratty old plastic cross pein dead blow hammer/mallets that I keep handy. One is a horizontal cross and one is a vertical cross. I suppose a criss-cross could be made, like the steel ones, but the flat face is sure good for aluminum work.

I made my own out of pipe.
I bought nylon and made the heads;
split the ends of the pipe and put a bolt thru to tighten the jaw;
flattened to oval a short piece of pipe for a hammer handle hole, drifting it tapered from both ends first with a big old punch
then cross drilled and elongated a hole in the main pipe/head holding piece for the hammer handle;
and welded in the handle hole..

I did look at Thor hammers, but couldn't find a cross pein face.

Gene, thanks for posting. What a superb idea. I'm off to ebay for some bits and pieces.
