Default Aluminum fabricator/shaper wanted near Nashville Tn

looking for an experienced sheet metal shaper for performance fabrication. This is not the same as HVAC.
The job would entail making patterns from an idea, sketch, or picture, in most cases an original part, buck building, forming compound curves in 3003 aluminum, fitting to a buck, TIG/flame welding the pieces together, and finishing for primer.

Please dont apply if you have no english wheel, pullmax, and/or Eckold experience. You must be able to work alone, and do pristine work. Not interested in blacksmiths or butchers.
Top pay for expert metal shaper. Full time, start immediately
send resume to admin@acechassis.com

If you have a pulse and can stay sober, show up on time everyday...
Wait, that's asking too much

Just show up, we will pay you to sit and watch us work...
Not really. There is a reason it is called a job. There is work involved. But it is rewarding work. Still need someone

Mike, have you contacted schools like Wyo Tech, UTI or McPherson College? I would also suggest you try your local CC. While typically community colleges only teach collision repair, there could be possibly be a kid there who couldn't afford the big (actually huge) bucks to go away to a national school, but wants to do custom/restoration work eventually. You would have the advantage of a teacher's recommendation that way as well.

Having taught high school shop for many years, and worked in industry each summer, I have a feeling for your frustration with the surprising lack of work ethic in some folks today.

Looked at your website. Nice tractors.

Thanks for the compliment and suggestions Mark. I have contacted Wyo-Tech, but not the others. (drop in number of applicants) There is a local school, Nasville auto/diesel, that send 3 recommendations. One never called back. One was not really interested. The other one came and interviewed, was all fired up about starting the following Monday. Never called or showed up. I assume aliens kidnapped him and he is hanging out with Jimmy Hoffa right now...

People moan about the bad economy and lack of jobs, I see a different side from a hiring position. There seems to be a total lack of interest in learning anything that doesn't have buttons on it, or can be done sitting down with a energy drink, cigarette, I-phone in hand so they dont miss anything going on in 'their world'.
The person willing to learn AND work will never be jobless for long, and will rise to the top very quickly in any industry.

you just ruled out 99.999999999999% of people under fifty. They will pay for college and not pay attention in class. But expect full hourly pay with benefits and want to just watch. Reason Shelly and I went solo, tired of working with those jokers! Check art colleges, local welder I really look up to hires all art students.

If you were down here I would be volunteering just to get my foot in the door !I would not let you down !
It's killing me that I can't get a job down here in some sort of race shop, hot rod shop etc..... Full time or even part time.Im 48 and retired from law enforcement and I scratch my head and today's youth.I guess I'm just old school !
Good Luck with your search ,sounds like a cool job.
P.S. Dont let the screen name fool ya !
