Default When to do fender beads?

I am making a set of fenders for a Mercer. Should I put the rolled beads in before or after I slip roll the radius? I have seen two ways to pre stretch. One with a wheel and one by reverse rolling the bead in the bead roller. What are the pros and cons of each way?

When I made Mercer and such pre-15 fenders, I made the blanks, curved them, and then cranked in the beads. Then I made the edge pieces, flanged them, and then turned the edges of the blanks down to receive the edges, and then trapped them in place.

I did something similar recently. I shaped the fenders then put the beads in. The bead caused the crown to flatten slightly so I modified the dies to have 2 degree sloped shoulders. Then I ran the fenders through the beader again and got the crown back.
