I shrink 16 ga. steel and .080 alum on it with Stan Fulton thumbnails. As far as beading and other shapes I have done up to 12 ga. on some things but mostly 14- 22 ga. is used.

I make a lot of my own dies. I could make you any die set that you wanted but the real key to any recip. style machine is that the simplicity of the tool action makes it easy to make your own tools for each job as they come up. Some tools are more involved (like louvers) but if you can't make tools right on the spot you will be somewhat limited on the machine.

This machine uses a standard 3/4 (19mm) square shank. Can pullmax type tooling be modified to use by shortening or lengthen? If so much of what Stan Fulton sells could work . I have ordered one of these machines, seen it work, know its capabilities and it is priced well.

Default Reciprocating machine update

I am having some problems with the recip machine that I make. I need a source for a better pulley. 8 inch dia for v-belt 3/4 shaft size. Cheaper aluminum pulleys are just not cutting it. Anyone got a source? I am assembling a machine from some left over parts from the batch I built last summer. I am trying to get it ready for our metalshapers meet Apr 30-May 1. These new machines have proven to be very good it's just that the pulleys are weak.
