Default Ebay Ranalah?

Ebay ranalah located in Thurso (pretty much as far north as you can get in Scotland) and the seller has zero feedback...Hmmm

Paul,

Yes this fits the usual scam profile,

1. Remote area of the UK......check
2. Reasonably cheap.......check
3. Cheap delivery.......check
4. No feedback......check

SCAM?....100%

Thanks for letting us know

That's about the 4th time that Ranalah has been on eBay under various bogus accounts. Hope someone doesn't get burned...

I contacted the seller and told him many of us were fed up with these scams. Needless to say he didn't reply.

Yup. It's been on 6 times now . Almost wired the guy 2000 pounds down payment , because I thought the 100% positive feedback was legit.

He gave me his name , address and bank account details to wire the money. I asked the St Mary's police (Devon& Cornwall police dept.) to look at the Ebay add and they confirm there is no building over there of that size.

Wonder where that Eckold really is at; haven't see it on a google search.

It was sold on eBay originally, along with a Pullmax, from a factory in Nuneaton (just outside Coventry) which is in the West Midlands. Pretty sure that was a genuine one as I remember checking out his other items and feedback at the time. It really hacks me off seeing these scam listings but that just seems to be the nature of eBay. As always, caveat emptor!

Do you recall when it was sold on Ebay and the name of the factory? I would like to mention it when I report this scam to Ebay. Searched google for eckolds in Nuneaton but no luck yet.

It must've been 3 years ago, I reckon. I can't recall the name of the place but it looked like a genuine listing to me. Sorry I can't be of more help.
