Building car from scratch has been a dream of mine since I got involved with cars, so about 15 years. U are very lucky to have a father that is so skilled. It saved u an enormous amount of time and wasted materials compaired to when your trying to figure it out by yourself. Is there a possibility your father would want to take on another son? . U truly are a complete craftsman. When u know how to do so much, and it comes easier to u than others you begin to wonder about the intelligents of people that we meet in our day to day life that say your a genius but we don't see ourselves as that bright, we are just doing what we love and having fun with it. Good job dude. I'm from buffalo, so hopefully some day I'll get to see it in person!!

Primary and secondary door seals installed. The secondary lower seal will be part of the door. It’s crucial for these seals to sit correctly in all the right areas, otherwise you’ll get air noise and water entering the cab. Also, this is what makes or breaks that 'factory' look.

Completing work on the door latch areas. Pieces are tacked, aligned and prepped for welding.

Latch areas all welded up. Next, a D/A will used for final cleanup then holes need to be created for the strike as well as latch fasteners.

A lot of detail work there. Great to see you make effort for these finishing details.

Greetings

Frank

I have plans to get two seals around the door opening on my old Willys too. Should quieten things down a lot.

The extra work to create the steps for 2 seals is a lot of work... but definitely worth it when done right. We installed 2 seals for the doors on Rhythm, the first one, and at highway speeds it's whisper quiet in the cab. The space between the seal surface on the jam and corresponding seal surface on the door have to match perfectly otherwise you'll have a never ending whistle when rolling down the street.

Thanks for looking Gents!

R2 is a roller!!... well not exactly. But, this will help in moving it around. Body transferred from the frame table and being lowered onto it’s own body cradle.

Starting to block and clean up the panels while finalizing new interior molds.

Looking good so sitting on the cart. The inner panels of the doors have a lot of tacks holding them on. Do you plan to weld them completely or use sealant like on the factory cars?

Greetings,

Frank
