FYI.. if you have served in the U.S. military you can get solidworks for $20. you will get the latest version for a year. after that you can pay an additional $20 for the next version. here is the link:

Also, Canadian military can also get this for $40 Canadian. Which I believe is like $1.50 USD if my math is right
