I read that the use of both have their merits and their place. If you have access to to the back side of the panel for planishing, then OA is the way to go. If there is no access to the back side, then Mig is better.

I have been playing with OA and it can generate a lot of stress, in me that is.

Put both welders down and use 3m Panel Bond. lightly hammer down the joint, grind and fill. This would be the easiest way if your skills are NEW. Really welding puts a lot of heat in the work.
