I'll be happy to make a trip down one Saturday if you need an excuse to do some more work on it.

We can do that. I need some motivation to finish it. We'll need to weld in that last piece, do the wire edges, and make a mount for the wall above the door.

Kerry, Install some headlights and wire them 110v ac so they come on with the flood or "porch" lights. Thanks for sharing, looks like great fun and team work.

When the current discussion of hydrocal and similar casting products came up, I remembered this project from '12. Johnny Moss is a RN (registered nurse) and makes a lot of plaster casts on broken arms and such. He is also interested in stretch forming. If you read through this thread, you'll see several examples of how he used plaster and concrete to make hammer and stretch forms. Worked very slick.
The neat thing about this micro event was that the five of us each came with different skill sets and approaches. Each used their preferred tools and EACH GOT THE JOB DONE USING WHAT THEY WERE USED TO/INTERESTED IN. There is/was no single best way to do anything. The best way to shape a panel is whatever method works for you, how you think, and what tools you have and understand.
