Default Hi from Texas

Hi guys I am from South Texas near Houston. I am a machinist by trade and have been wanting to learn metal shaping. I have done some stuff on an old truck that I am building with my dad but now of it was from scratch, it was all replacement panels or some small had built panels. I will probably lurk more than post because I really don't understand how to make metal do what I want it do. Thanks for the site.

Bernie, welcome and thanks for the introduction. Thanks for joining us. My son lives in your area and is also into metal shaping. Being a machinist will help you a lot as you learn.

Bernie,
Welcome to the site. I too am an amateur at metal shaping and trying to learn. I live in the Clear Lake Area just up 45 from League City.

Hey Bill I work in Clear Lake, maybe we should get together sometime and beat on something...lol.

Thanks everyone, it seems friendlier here than on some other sites.

Sure we can do that. I am pretty booked through the holidays. After that I can free up some time.

Yeah Bill the holidays are tough to schedule around. I won't be able to do anything until after the first of the year and then it will probably be early spring before I can really get sometime. I might be able to get together for a few hours on night, lets talk about it after the new year. Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Welcome aboard. Anytime you have questions on something you are working on, you can post questions and pics.
