Default New kid from Northern Michigan

Just wanted to put my intro on top of the pile. My name's Kenny and I'm form a little town in northern Michigan. I'm 36 and have been working in restaurant business for 20+ years. For the past 5-6 years I've been the distiller for a craft brewery/distillery. I started taking classes at the local tech school so I could start making all our own stills inhouse. The more welding/fab classes I took, the more I realized how much I liked it. Hopefully in the next year I'll be finished with my associates and looking to find my place in the metal trades. I'd like to get into a job where I can have some creative input on what I make but that also builds on my skills and talents. Like most people starting out, I feel pretty clueless to the possibilities.

Welcome Kenny . This is the place to pickup on the best in metalshaping methods and discussion. I host a metalshapers training event in the spring that has become popular. I usually set the date for it the first of Feb. so check this site often. I like your sign off and add " measure with a yardstick -cut it with a torch."
