I made a round shank holder on my thumbnail shrinker. It was held in place using a similar arrangement that motorcycle fork tubes are held in the triple trees. I machined a flat on the toolholder shank so I could hold it in place with a bolt and then I tighten the pinch bolts.

Steve, I still don't understand why you want to do this? Is it because it's easier to chuck in a 3 jaw and machine a radius? Not trying to say it's wrong or anything else, just curious.

I made an adapter so I could use my planishing hammer dies as doming dies on my square shank P6. That's handy using a rubber hammer head for the top die.
