Default Hello from UK

Hi all, Matt here from the UK, I have restored a few classic cars over the years and done plenty of lurking on the site a while back.
Latest projects are a Plymouth PA and a MkVI Bentley, both need "real" metalwork!
Love seeing everyone's cool tool's and shops (sometimes think the projects come second to the tools) not a computer guy at all so this has taken ages.

Hi Matt,

Good luck with the MkVI Bentley. I struggled with the metalwork on a 1947 basket case in the mid seventies.I nearly went broke with the experience.

Right now I'm working on the body of a 1953 Silver Dawn standard steel saloon. You probably know it has a similar body as the Bentley R Type and a close relative of the Mk6.

Almost every panel had to be replicated or repaired. A never ending horror story.

At present I nearing the completion of the roof.

Mike

Hi Mike, Mine is a 1951, it needs the whole bottom replacing and the sunroof repairing, as you know they do rot well!

Good luck with the Silver Dawn, same rust problems but you get a larger boot/trunk area.
