Had some questions about how we did the "J" detail for the bumper seal..



I missed getting some of the pictures of the dies, so had to go back afterwards...

These are all the dies used, I had three different lower dies to progressively fold the sides in. The location is set by using a backstop on the first pass, using the die show on the right..



This is the final die shown with a sample run...

What model number and throat length is that Trumpf ? What size tooling shank ? NICE work sir & thank you . ~ John Buchtenkirch

John, the Trumpf is CN-701, it has a 48" throat, tooling is 1.183 x 1.177 'square' shank and 1.333 round shank, the lower anvil will take either square or round.

Thanks Peter! Well this is sure unexpected! Funny that I just drove to Virginia yesterday to pick these two pieces up again, going to take them to a car show tomorrow as part of our display of parts we've made.
