Its seems good for light surface rust like bad finger prints that ya get sometimes and bits that been left for a month or so, not flakey rust or rust that has eaten into the surface.

I just put some on a damp rag and wipe it on, then I mix up some Bi-Carb Soda and wash the rustbuster off to neutralize, seems to work quite well.

Try an old piece before hand to practice on, gloves and eye wear are the go
