Default New guy: Jim L from Raynham, MA

Hi everyone, I'm Jim from Raynham, Massachusetts.

I like to build half-fast stuff using cheap tools and cheaper materials on Sundays. If the garage door is open, come in for a beer and swear at my car with me.

I'm currently driving an old Subaru Legacy station wagon, turbocharged and intercooled with junkyard parts.

I just caught the British Car bug, and I picked up an obnoxious little MGB GT. It has a Weber sidedraught and some kind of camshaft, and tons of rusty awesomeness. I hung it's bumpers on the wall, put some stickers on it, and it just snorts down the road looking as mean as an MGB can, I think.

My next project is homemade. I'm using a Triumph Spitfire backbone chassis. I'm using a spare MGB engine, junkyard-turbocharged, of course. It needs big wire wheels, and motorcycle fenders, and the body.. that's where I need help.

I need to learn how to shape metal. First and foremost, I need to go buy some tools for it.

Mouth shut, ears open, and here to absorb as much as I can from the experts.

-Jim
