Sorry to hear that Ron, that's kind of scary. Hope he recovers fully.

I worry about my shop with my grandson wanting to spend time with me. It's certainly not kid proof. On my list of things to do, but maybe it needs moving up that list. I know how fast that kind of thing can happen and when he's here, I'm done in the shop until he goes home.

Just curious what is the safe way to pump up a tire ? I had a passenger car tire blow on me over 20 years ago and it knocked me right on my butt , it was scary but no real damage. Now when I top my rear tires (80 P.S.I.) on my flatbed I cringe but wonder how I could do it more safely ??? Thanks in advance ~ John Buchtenkirch

Really it's don't over inflate the tire past the manufactor's rating.. Inspect the tires (old cracked, cut, etc). You might replace them if they look "iffy".

Spencer's accident was just that the tire got over inflated (100 psi for a tire rated for 10psi)

Thank God he's ok .. I know, he's startin' to be a little too musch help again

Default tire inflation

Glad to hear Spenser is OK. I don't run my compressor all the time, so when airing up bicycle tires I shut the compressor off when it is a little above the psi I need.No method is fool proff but , this sure helps avoid over inflation. Michael
