I've been watching his build on Facebook. He's an impressive shaper for sure.

He has done several Porsche powered race themed specials. A bit of this one reminds me of the Ferrari Dino race car. He certainly has an eye for style. The Boxter of the sixties. Being young is a huge advantage.
I had always wanted to do a cheetah knockoff but time is ticking away on my life and being a realist ruins the enthusiasm. plus my finances took a huge hit when my wife died and I don't have a good track record on finishing my own stuff. And lousy health really makes it hard to get started on any project. This is where another group project could kick start a few of us old coots.
For now I am trying to come up with an inventory system so that I can pin down the location of tools and parts on my 12' high pallet racks. I am tending toward photos imbedded in QR codes. I have the scanner and a barcode printer and am getting a feel for what they can do. I will feel better about things when I retrieve some space to work. When I moved the shop from Palm Beach County, I just unloaded stuff where It was convenient. to set it down.I don't have a clue where 75% of my stuff is.
So a reasonable goal for me is to work on the four ASA1000gt's . I need to build two front ends and one hood and straighten the other. I would love to build an alloy body or at least an alloy front end for one of them.
But that rack of DOM tubing and the jag suspensions are calling out to me to build a chassis for something.
Seeing work like his just is inspiring to me and the opposite at the same time. Kerry at least you jumped in and have built yourself a period car that fits your style. That niggling last 10% is still there. The part that takes forever. Nobody can ever fault you for not taking on your dream.
I bet you just want to polish your car after seeing this one. OR NOT!

I've also followed Runge cars for a while - admirable go-getter, is Chris.
His craft has definitely improved, and while some of his earlier creations looked quite ugly to me (IMO), this car really delivers in all areas. No doubt, in 20 or so years time, his work will sell for big bucks in collector circles...
