Default Cheers from SoFla

Hi everybody, My name is Steve Dussemberg and I am a mechanical engineer with a strong passion for car coach building. Although I have done some small restorations in the garage, I've never tackled a project bigger than your average restoration. At this point of my life I am trying to get some stuff crossed from my bucked list and one of them is to build a car from scratch. I actually have started working on the 3D project a few years ago and now after refining it I'm looking forward to start the building process. No, I've never done any work of that magnitude but I've always tried to learned how it's done and that's the main reason I'm here. I know most of you have tons of experience in the field and I just hope I can learn just a little bit and I'll try to share some of my very small knowledge with you guys. I'm a very easy going guy and I'd love to help any member here in any capacity using the tools I have in hand. I'm an avid 3D designer and I can design in 3D the model and from there create the 3D Buck that can be cut on a cnc or if you're going to use wires I can provide you with all the individual pieces and curvatures. As soon as I'm allowed I'll post in here some 3D models I've done in the past and I hope my small knowledge can be at your service. I'm also designing my own equipment that I will be using to produce the pieces for my project. (English wheel, bead roller, and even a pullmax type machine). I'm looking forward to get to share some info with the members here and I'll try to contribute in any way I can.

Regards

Steve Dussemberg

Welcome to AllMetalShaping Steve. There is an active group of folks working on 3D CAD for buck creation and they will welcome your skills. I THINK, most of them are focusing on Solidworks.
