Default Play nice

Guys, we recently had a new vendor place an ad for beater bags. Yeah his shipping was high and western union as the only payment option is a problem. Regardless, he proceeded to get beat up with negative comments and even links to other sources. This morning he asked that his thread be removed.

If we want vendors to support this site, we need to be a little more polite.

Thank you Kerry. I don't know what it is about the internet but it seems to sometimes make people behave in ways that they would never think of if they were face to face with the people they are talking to or about. I like that people on this site are encouraged to at least use their real names in posts so they don't have the cover of anonymity to snipe from. I believe that 99% of the people who post here have pure intentions and want to learn or to share what they know with others. For those of us who grew up when most of our interaction with others was done in person and when our parents made us apologize to people when we were rude to them, we should try to promote those same values here by maintaining civility with others on the forum. I know I'm new here but I watched (as many of you did also) and did nothing as talented people left the other site because of similar bad behavior. I view this group of people as a very valuable resource as well as genuinely nice people and I would hate to see the same thing happen here.

End of rant, be civil to one another!

I don't think any apologies are required but do think we need to think about things a bit. If the post had been somewhere other than in the classifieds it would have been a different situation.
