Default New guy from NC

Hello guys.
Hope you are all well.
I am not even a novice... I am a brand new beginner to metal shaping.
I taught visual arts for 20+ years and am pretty with my hands- good woodworker, have remodeled several houses, and just taught my self to weld.
Had a change of heart and thus a change of careers, kinda mid-life move. I am now a 50 year old pastor; married for 21 years with four children.
I love hot rods and old school customs. My dad was an auto body man and painter for over 40 years- so I grew up in a garage. I have his hammers and dolls... My plan is to keep my head low, and read a lot.
I would like to said how wonderful it is that you great craftsmen are willing share your knowledge- thank you.
That's about it.
I am very glad to be here.
Have a wonderful day.

John

Welcome from a fellow North Carolinian. I'm near Raleigh.
Lots of great information and advise to be found here.
Interest and good at working with your hands is all you need to get started.
