I want to build an English Wheel. Who has the best plans, anvils, wheels, etc.?

Welcome to the forum, Jack. "Best" is obviously highly subjective. I would suggest you start reading here if you haven't already:

I live about an hour away from you: if you want to see and try one I built according to Kerry's design with Hoosier anvils, PM me. Some background on my wheel here: http://allmetalshaping.com/showthrea...l+construction there are some photos on page two of the thread.

Thanks Mark. I would love to see your wheel and talk to you about what you like and what you would change.

Jack, lots of folks have built good machines from my 'plans'. They are not dimensioned drawings but anyone who has the skills to build a machine should have no trouble coming up with a dimensioned drawing based on what they describe.

As far as rollers go, there is no choice. Joe Andrews at Hoosier Profiles. One one else even comes close at any price.

Jack, I just sent you a Private Message, look for the link under your login in the upper right area of the screen.

I wouldn't change anything really, I have been really happy with my wheel so far. I would eventually like to acquire some more different sized anvils, but that has nothing to do with the design, as it can accept different sized anvils.
