I would not get anything with those tiny bottles. You will run out too fast

I'd also say look for bigger bottles. No fun going to get more gas every other week

nothing yet
Seems to be slim pickens in this area. I haven't found anything yet. I might have to expand my search area.

Definitely keep searching, I was able to get my setup with 2 1/2 full bottles, torch, regulators, cart, goggles, striker, tip cleaners, and a bunch of rod for $150 here in the Bay Area, so there are definitely deals out there. I need some smaller tips and a rosebud would be nice, but it came with a cutting torch and #3 and #5 tip so I have something to get me going.

I ordered this from my local air/gas, I'm headed to pick it up in a few minutes.
Smith AW1A airline torch and all the fixins. $386.00 plus tax. Yes the bottles are small. I'm going to lease big bottles when these run out or find some used ones on CL. The AW1A is a smaller torch and better (or at least I've read that it is) for welding. 100% American made. Most of the Victors are even made in China now. I'm not giving my money to China anymore. |

One of the issues with these tiny rigs is that the guages DON'T FIT larger bottles. You'll have to buy adapters.
These small rigs are primarily for AC work where the technician needs to work in interior places, in attics, under floors, etc, in order to silfloss tubing.

I found this on Amazon.com
http://www.amazon.com/Acetylene-Weld...0655820&sr=1-6 It appears to be a Victor like(not victor brand ) setup. Does anyone have any experiences with these? |
