I cut the door to bring it out even with the fender and remove the inward curve at the rear of the door. This is just the first pull out. The door needs to come down slightly at the top and there is a slight dip in along the beltline where it starts to curve outward. The beltline problem may resolve itself if I extend the horizontal cut a few inches further. It's time to walk the dogs so it will have to wait until tomorrow, wife doesn't want me banging on metal at dinnertime and bothering the neighbors.

Looking back through the thread I mentioned wanting to park in the midst of a bunch of "narrow" MGB's at the British Car Day show. Here is the result from the 2018 show. Makes the changes a little more apparent.

Well done Jim.

Great seeing the differences parked next to a stock one. I will have to do the same once mine is done.

Congratulations Jim on the MSOTM for a very different build, it has a real presence. I enjoyed following your journey.

I restored one of these back in '87 for a friend, also in red and installed a white soft top - looked great until a storm brought down tiles off of his roof straight through the entire car .....

That had to be a real kick in the gut after all that work.
