Default Kiaora. Hello from N.Z.

Hello,
My name is Barry Taylor and I arrived here following a link about reciprocating hammers.
I'm a Diesel Mechanic by trade now semi-retired. I have a fairly well stocked workshop with the usual assortment of hand tools, welders, lathe, mill, shaper, bandsaw, beader and English wheel.
A friend and I indulge in fixing up/restoring old vehicles and machinery. Curently I am helping to restore a 1924 Chrysler and when the weather gets better,(it's the middle of winter and the middle of the rainy season), will unpack a J1 Bedford with a "puddle Jumper" front diff and transferbox fitted. The engine is only fit for a boat anchore but I just saved a Bedford 330 Diesel engine with a Turner 5-speed and P.T.O. from a M series headed for the knackers. Roll on Summer.
My other main interest is fishing, making fishing tackle and fishing.
